The spa is located on Ialomita Valley, 21 km far from Targoviste, 45 km far from Sinaia resort, 100km far from Bucharest.

Historical information

The sulphurous water springs were chemically analyzed for the first time between 1821 and 1828. The first public bathing place was built in 1834. The mineral waters of Pucioasa were exhibited at the international fair of Vienna in 1873.

Climate

Due to the temperate continental climate (specific to the sub-Carpathians zone), the summers are cool and the winters are mild. The annual average temperature is 9.5 degree C.

Warm baths with sulphurous mineral waters (in tubs or pools); plant baths, underwater showers, aerosols with sulphurous water and soluble medicines, paraffin packing, electrotherapy, massage, kinetic-therapy.
